A hard rain of coronaviruses has started falling on humans. The world is at the edge of cataclysm. Currently there are about ten million diseased and 500,000 deaths from COVID19.[1]

There is an extremely urgent need for solutions. Philosophically, a constantly changing Homo sapiens who appeared on Earth about 200,000 years ago is under the massive attack of viruses that appeared on Earth about 3.5 billion years ago and have remained unchanged. There is no use of synthetic drugs. We support a good old saying “Medicus curat, natura sanat!” So, where is our most powerful natural defense against viruses? In our guts! The first ideas about this came from Ilya Ilyich Mechnikov, Russian zoologist and Nobel Prize Laureate in Physiology and Medicine for 1908.There is a huge army of about 60 trillion commensal bacteria in our colon that protect us from viruses and other biological threats for humans.[2] Indeed, there is evidence that human gut is attacked by SARS CoV-2 with a consequent diarrhoea.[3] Microbiota music warns the SARS CoV-2: “Stay Away!”

We the editors of Noise and Health want to contribute to the struggle against SARS CoV-2 with a proposal on how to stop this horrible pandemic.

To prevent COVID19 advise the public to take one capsule with at least 109 Colony Forming Units of Lactobacillus or Bifidobacterium species during a meal.[4],[5] Those with COVID19 to take two capsules three times daily. Those who are on invasive mechanical ventilation should be given two opened capsules three times daily via enteral feeding. There are no side effects. There is no age limit because this is nature.
